make-it monday; cute cards ♥

when my mom called excitedly from the computer to show us three girls something, i wasn't so enthusiastic.

but when i saw these i was pretty darn excited.

who knew cards could be so cute? I just had to try making them.

and this is what i came up with:

isn't she adorable? <3

now i'll show you how to make these, step-by-step (even though it is pretty straightforward!)

firstly, make your card. i use cardstock in a skin-toned colour. pinks, browns, oranges, whites and yellows work - greens and blues do not. trust me.

next, find some nice paper to use for the dress - i have this scrapbook paper left over from when we used to make paper dolls.

i chose this lovely striped one.

cut out your triangle of a dress, and glue it on your card. i have this handy-dandy glue-pen, but a good ol' glue stick will work just fine.
draw your face and arms: then legs. . .  <--- and outline with marker.
choose your hair colour (i chose pink and orange)
and fashion into your very own style!

now this card is ready to party with all the other cards!
you can try different hairstyles - like bows:

or pigtails:

or you can even try pipe cleaners for an uber-straight look.

i like to put stamps on my cards once i'm done, but that's just me:

really, you can do anything you want. =)

happy creating!
